We are starting a new student government organization on campus this year - The Hornet House of Representatives.

Our goal is for every sport, club, and group or activity to be fairly represented in this Student Government Organization.

Bishop Moore Representatives are from each of the 4 grades. Each member represents his/her constituents and is seen as someone who is dedicated, responsible, and a true leader and role model. The Hornet House of Representatives attend monthly meetings to discuss student related matters and bring information back to the club, team or sport each represents.

The Hornet House of Representatives will also be a vital component in organizing and implementing school-wide projects like our monthly out-reach drives as well as communicating students’ perspectives on many topics.

Our first meeting was held October 1, 2008.

The group is comprised of Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. It is made up of male and female students.

The Hornet House will have a Student Speaker of the House as well as several leadership positions and student led Ad Hoc committees with-in its structure.

Our focus is “SCHOOL-WIDE PRIDE”. We are trying to bring a sense of UNITY among the entire student body. “EVERY HORNET IS CREATED EQUAL”. We would like to increase hornet pride with a positive attitude on our campus .

The Hornet House of Representatives is in its infancy stage but it is exciting to see that we will have a Student Government Association that truly represents the breath of all that makes up our community. We at Bishop Moore Catholic High School are looking for goods thing to come out of this group and we have confidence the students will see that they are being represented more fully.
