Important Excerpts from the Student Handbook:
Bishop Moore does not have an extra credit policy. No student should receive extra credit in any course. Students who fail to achieve an acceptable level may work with teachers to review material and possibly retest or redo an assignment. However, students should check with individual teachers to understand the retesting/revision policy that exists for the course. The school recognizes the need for students to develop punctuality and responsibility as two life-long skills and stresses the need for all work to be submitted on time. Students cannot be given extra credit assignments to make up for those missed grades.
Students in honors classes should maintain a minimum average of a B. If a student earns a quarter grade below a B in an honors course, the student may be recommended to move to a standard course.
It is the responsibility of the student to make up work missed during an absence. It is the school policy that all assignments will be made up within one week. After one week no work will be accepted unless previous arrangements have been made with the teacher. All missed tests, quizzes, etc. must also conform to this time frame.
