Liturgy of the Eucharist
Understanding that the Eucharist is the "source and summit" of our entire being, the Bishop Moore Catholic High School community regularly gathers around the Table of the Lord. Recognizing that each person has his or her vital place within the Body of Christ, each student is encouraged to actively participate in all liturgical celebrations. Opportunities to participate include serving as musicians, altar servers, lectors, gift bearers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.
Prayer Services
In addition to the regular celebration of the Eucharist, the community of Bishop Moore Catholic gathers for various forms of prayer throughout the year. These prayer services can be tailored to highlight the particular liturgical seasons or address the various needs of the student body. In planning and implementing these celebrations, our Peer Ministry Team has the opportunity to creatively reflect the dynamic faith life of our student body.
Retreats
Periodically taking time out to reconnect with God and each other is essential for spiritual growth. Bishop Moore Catholic High School demonstrates the importance of this practice by arranging retreats for each grade level.
Chaplains
The presence of priests on our campus enriches the Catholic identity of Bishop Moore Catholic High School. In addition to leading us in the celebration of the Eucharist, our two chaplain are regularly available for confession, spiritual direction, education and the various other spiritual needs of our students.
“Let it be known to all who enter this place that Jesus Christ is the reason for this school, the unseen but ever-present teacher in all its classes, the model of its faculty, and the inspiration for its students.”
