Bishop Moore Catholic High School Chapter Founded in 1998

*Excerpt from the BMCHS Chapter's Constitution (revised 3-17-10 for 2010-2011)

Article 4 Membership

Section 2. Active members are junior or senior high school students who have completed four consecutive semesters of honors college preparatory mathematics with distinction. . This chapter shall designate that this must be an A average for each semester in an honors mathematics course AND a student shall receive a recommendation for membership from a member of the math department. Students should have completed or be enrolled in Honors Geometry to be eligible for full membership.

Section 3. Members shall demonstrate ability to work with others and to conduct independent research, and shall possess qualities of honesty, industry, initiative, and reliability. They will adhere to the club’s Honor Agreement and Activity Point System approved by the Executive Committee and passed by vote of the membership 8/14/01.

Section 4. Candidates for membership shall have spent at least one semester in Bishop Moore High School. However this requirement shall be waived for students who were members in good standing of a Mu Alpha Theta chapter in another school.
