Bright Futures - Class of 2013
Please read the letter that was mailed home regarding Bright Futures.
Steps students should take to apply for the Bright Futures Award:
þ Submit the BMCHS 2013 authorization form to the Guidance office by December 12.
þ Complete the application to the State of Florida on-line as follows:
1. Beginning December 1, 2012 go to
2. From this menu, select Initial State Student Application and read the directions provided.
3. Select Proceed to Application to complete the state’s online application. To clarify, some common questions are:
¬E-mail address - Please use a permanent e-mail address as this is the one that will be used by the state for the next four years.
¬High School Graduation Date - Please enter 05/20/2013.
¬Unweighted and Weighted GPA - You may estimate this information or find it on Family Connection under About Me/Profile.
4. It is only when the online form has been completed, submitted and processed, that Bishop Moore can proceed by supplying the academic information required for evaluation of your student.
þ Please note that your Saved Results page will include your USER ID and PIN to access the submitted application, update information on the application, and to check the status of the application around Easter.
Note: Your Guidance Counselor will be submitting your transcript information, which includes first semester grades, throughout the month of February if you submitted your authorization form to Guidance.
