She helped build Bishop Moore's reputation as a soccer dynasty in Florida with exceptional agility, speed, aggressiveness, competitive spirit and leadership.
The state championships came in 1989 and 1991. In between, in 1990, Gringer and teammates played their way into the state finals, but finished as runner-up.
Winning the championship back after losing it remains one of her most memorable moments as a Hornet athlete, along with beating Lake Mary High School 3-1 in 1989 when both schools were ranked number one in Florida in their respective size classifications.
First team All County 4 years running, Stephanie was co-MVP in 1990 and co-captain three years.
After graduating from BMHS, she attended UCF where she was a 4-year starter on the Golden Knights' soccer team and a first team All Conference (TAAC) for three years. She earned her degree in advertising and public relations in 1996.
An account manager for City Search Inc., an Internet enterprise based in Orlando, she is single and lives in Winter Park. She continues to stay competitive, playing indoor soccer.
Stephanie is one of the youngest athletes to be selected for induction into the Bishop Moore Athletic Hall of Fame.
