1 MOORE
Bishop Moore football teams have long been known for how tough they were. Hornet teams were known for blocking and tackling. We played in the Metro conference with all the larger schools in Orlando. In 1970, Bishop Moore won the first state championship from the city of Orlando. That record held until Bishop Moore won their 2nd state championship 45 years later in 2015 before another Orlando team achieved it in 2017. The culture of hard-nosed fundamentally sound football teams has continued through the years. Until the year 2000, Bishop Moore made the playoffs just 3 times. Since 2000, the Hornets have made 19 playoff appearances and have had numerous players at the next level.
