Carolista Ware
Carolista Ware brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as Head Track and Field Coach at BMC, a position she has held for 16 years. With 30 years of coaching across various sports including basketball, track and field, and softball, Carolista has a proven track record of success. Her coaching accolades include leading the boys' track and field team to a state championship in 2021 and guiding the girls' team to a state runner-up finish in 2007. Her dedication has helped numerous athletes advance to compete in track and field at over 30 colleges and universities. Carolista holds an M.S. in Sports Management from American Public University and a B.S. in Fitness and Wellness from Brewton Parker College. A passionate supporter of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, she proudly embraces everything Gamecocks!
Program Success
BMC proudly launched its Unified Sports program in 2024 with highly successful Unified Track and Field, Unified Bowling, Unified Basketball, Unified Tennis, and in 2026, added Unified Flag Football teams, fostering inclusion, teamwork, and school spirit. Unified Sports on our campus is the inclusion of Morning Star and BMC students on one unified team. The program achieved remarkable success by capturing the 2025 Unified Track and Field State Championship. Bishop Moore remains committed to providing meaningful opportunities for all student-athletes to compete, grow, and represent our community with pride.

Memorial Stadium and Harry Nelson Field
Memorial Stadium, home to Harry Nelson Field, was built in 1982 and honors the legacy of Harry Nelson, a significant figure in the Bishop Moore Catholic community. The stadium underwent a major enhancement with the installation of an artificial turf field in 2013, followed by a new synthetic turf playing surface in 2025, providing a premier venue for competition and training. A new track was added in 2022, further elevating the facility's capabilities for track and field. Most recently, a state-of-the-art video board was installed in 2024, creating an enhanced game-day atmosphere and an immersive experience for student-athletes, fans, and the entire Hornet community.
Gymnasium

Constructed in 2002, the Bishop Moore Catholic Gymnasium serves as the centerpiece of Hornet Athletics. The facility underwent significant renovations in 2024, including a remodeled back hallway, a newly renovated athletic training room, and a state-of-the-art fueling station designed to support student-athlete performance and recovery. In 2026, the gymnasium received a brand-new hardwood competition floor, further enhancing one of the premier athletic venues in Central Florida. The facility also features separate locker rooms for boys and girls, a dedicated classroom, and the Athletics Department suite, providing a first-class environment for training, competition, and student-athlete development.
Tennis Courts
Sanlando Park is the proud home of Hornet Tennis, offering excellent facilities for both practice and competition. With its well-maintained courts and supportive environment, the park provides a vibrant setting for our tennis program, fostering athlete development and community engagement.
Bowling Alley
The Aloma Bowl is the official home of Hornet Bowling, providing an excellent venue for both practice and competition. With its well-maintained lanes and welcoming atmosphere, the bowling alley supports our athletes in honing their skills and competing at a high level, fostering a strong sense of community within the program.
