Every day, we work hard to make sure that we are keeping the promises we have made to our students and families. Our mission and vision statements express those promises, and our daily actions are our response to God’s call of putting those promises into action.

Mission and Vision

Vision: Guided by our Catholic Tradition, Bishop Moore Catholic High School students will develop personally, spiritually, and intellectually to achieve their potential as individuals and leaders within a global society.

Mission: The mission of Bishop Moore Catholic High School is to provide the highest quality, affordable secondary education based upon the Gospel message and Roman Catholic teachings.  This is accomplished in a Christ-centered environment stressing academic excellence, spiritual growth, personal integrity, community involvement, athletic development, and cultural appreciation.

Family of Faith

Once a month, parents and friends of BMC get together to grow in faith while getting to know one another. The events start at 8:00 am, although many arrive earlier to drink coffee and chat. It’s a great time to catch up and support one another through these high school years. Once everyone has filled their plates with a delicious breakfast, a speaker presents a particular faith-related topic. There’s always time for questions at the end, and everyone is able to leave by 9:00 am, bellies and spirits filled! For more information, contact JP Kuhlman.

Mission Trips

BMC and the Diocese of Orlando Mission Office team up each year to take groups of students to our “sister diocese” of San Juan de la Maguana for mission trips. BMC students have the opportunity to teach and bring Christ’s care to the people of this beautiful mountainous region, then share their experiences with our school community when they return. Juniors and Seniors are able to apply for these opportunities at the beginning of the school year.

Vocations

It is the duty of all Catholics to promote and support religious vocations to the priesthood and religious life.  We aim to create an environment of awareness of the various vocations in the life of the Church, as well as support and/or facilitate opportunities for encounter and deeper discernment. A discernment group meets regularly on campus, and campus ministry takes periodic trips to the seminary and convent. We also create opportunities for awareness in classroom religion classes, bringing in seminarians, priests, and religious sisters as guest speakers.
