Bishop Moore Catholic High School's Programs of Distinction provide students with an opportunity to engage in professional fields of interest as a pillar of their high school experience. Bishop Moore Catholic currently offers programs in Aviation, Engineering, Business Finance, Biomedical Sciences, and Computer Science that work to support our mission of striving for excellence in all that we do. These programs support students in gaining exposure and experience on future career interests that drive decisions for their college selection and areas of study. Students who successfully complete three years within one Program of Distinction receive graduation recognition. 

 

Aeronautics

The Aeronautics program is a dual-enrollment program, partnering with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Curriculum will engage students in collegiate level courses that provide courses of study in human factors, security, aviation safety, aeronautical science, unmanned aircrafts, private pilot, and groundschool.

Biomedical Sciences

The Biomedical program will inspire our future health professionals. Biomedical Science applies real-world issues by exploring topics like disease, DNA analysis, prosthetic design, public health, and more. Students gain experience with state-of-the-art tools and techniques that are used by professionals in hospitals and labs every day.

Business Finance

The Bishop Moore Business Finance program will offer students an experience that focuses on the foundations of the business and finance industry. Engaging students in business and finance technology, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and financial operations. Students will have the opportunity to learn about financial markets and investing, build a foundation of business and finance skills, and be mentored by industry professionals to be successful in our 21st-century economy.

Computer Science

The Computer Science Program will empower students to become creators, instead of merely consumers, of the technology around them. Courses cover topics including coding, app development, simulation, and cybersecurity. Throughout the courses, students collaborate to design solutions to real-world challenges, while practicing ethical reasoning.

Engineering

Bishop Moore Engineering students will explore success through experimentation. Students will engage in real-world problems that often have multiple solutions with many pathways to achieve success. Course opportunities will include principles of engineering, civil engineering and architecture, aerospace engineering, and engineering design and development. Students are empowered to explore possibilities, experiment, learn from failure, and turn ideas into reality. Engineering encourages students to adopt a problem-solving mindset, engaging them in compelling, real-world challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers.
