Our Mission
The mission of the BMCHS College & Career Center is to assist 9th through 12th-grade students in researching career paths and planning for post-high school education.
We offer programming in the classroom setting, in 9th-hour workshops, and in individual college and career counseling sessions. In addition to their School Counselor, students will be assigned a College & Career Counselor in their sophomore year to walk them through the college application process. All services through the BMC College & Career Center will be provided as guided by the school’s overarching Vision and Mission, in compliance with the Diocese of Orlando and in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Naviance
The College & Career Center uses Naviance – a college and career readiness platform – that helps students to explore career interests and build a college application plan. Students and parents receive access to this program freshman year. The staff of the College & Career Center helps you to navigate the platform and collect information for applications. For instance, the staff can help students explore college websites, build a list of possible applications, and create a resume using various templates.
