Jasmine Thomas

Jasmine Thomas, who earned her AA degree from Seminole State College, is entering her 7th year as the head coach at BMC. She has been coaching and teaching dance since 2010, across various studios and at BMC. Under her leadership, the dance team has achieved remarkable success, winning the NDA Championship for three consecutive years and securing 1st place at Dance Team Union and Groove Dance competitions. The team has also received numerous choreography, performance, and Judges Choice awards. Her alumni have gone on to join college dance teams and some have even transitioned to perform with the NBA Magic dancers and other professional groups. A fun fact about Thomas is that her birth certificate lists two intersections as her place of birth because she was born in an ambulance just two blocks from her home in New York.

Julie Johnson

Kristen Unger

Julie Johnson and Kristen Unger are the head coaches of the nationally accredited Bishop Moore Catholic Dance Team. They have won 4 national titles while coaching at BMC, but their success as leaders in the dance industry doesn’t just begin and end there. As directors and choreographers, Julie and Kristen hold a collection of national and world titles. Their work is global and can be seen on television, NBA games, NFL games, Disney stages, fashion shows, and more. As established dance team choreographers, Julie and Kristen travel around the country helping high school and collegiate athletes reach their true potential. Rooted in their faith, they love to empower their athletes by reminding them to keep Christ the center of all we do. Coach Julie and Coach Kristen's goals are not only to transform their team athletically but also to help strengthen and nurture it spiritually as well.
