Claudy Devilien
Claudy Devilien enters his new role as Head Cheer Coach at Bishop Moore Catholic with a legacy rooted in excellence, leadership, and service. A dedicated member of the program for over 15 years as an assistant coach, Claudy helped lead the team to 12 State Championships and 2 State Runner Up finishes, establishing one of the most successful eras in program history.
A former Dean of Students and current leader in Student Life, Claudy has been instrumental in developing the Student Success Center and shaping the overall student experience on campus. He holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, bringing a strong foundation in team development, culture building, and leadership.
His impact extends beyond the mat, having coached two Dairy Farmers Players of the Year, Mercedes Lambert (2012) and Grace Hanvey (2014), a testament to his commitment to developing elite athletes and leaders.
Now stepping into this new chapter, Claudy is committed to building leaders on and off the mat while continuing a tradition of excellence, faith, and service at Bishop Moore Catholic.

Program Success
Bishop Moore Cheer currently holds 12 state titles, tying for the most in the state, along with 8 additional top-three finishes. Impressively, 90% of the athletes on the team are honor students, showcasing both their athletic and academic excellence.

Cheer Gym
The Cheer Gym, built in 2013, is a premier facility designed for cheerleading and dance performances. It features a full-performance, nine-mat cheer area that provides athletes with ample space for practice and routines. The gym is equipped with underlaid Marley dance flooring, ensuring a safe and high-quality surface that enhances both performance and training.
Memorial Stadium and Harry Nelson Field

Memorial Stadium, home to Harry Nelson Field, was built in 1982 and honors the legacy of Harry Nelson, a significant figure in the Bishop Moore Catholic community. The stadium underwent a major enhancement with the installation of an artificial turf field in 2013, followed by a new synthetic turf playing surface in 2025, providing a premier venue for competition and training. A new track was added in 2022, further elevating the facility's capabilities for track and field. Most recently, a state-of-the-art video board was installed in 2024, creating an enhanced game-day atmosphere and an immersive experience for student-athletes, fans, and the entire Hornet community.
Weight Room

State of the art weight room on the first floor of the Moore Center overlooking Memorial Stadium. Home to our Girls and Boys Weightlifting teams as well as our Athletic Department Sport Performance.
Training Rooms

The Training Rooms, located on the first floor of the Moore Center and the Gymnasium, serve as the primary spaces for our athletic trainers. Equipped with ice machines, a cold tub, training tables, and various rehab equipment, this facility ensures that student-athletes receive top-notch care and treatment. The spacious layouts allow for efficient recovery and injury management, making it an essential resource for maintaining peak performance throughout the season.
